*** Tryouts for all 7-12 year-old boys will be held in October 2011 ***
All players, new or returning are required to register at this time.
A tryout # and schedule will be given to each baseball player in this
age group at registration.
After tryouts, players in this age group requesting to register for baseball
will be placed on a waiting list.

BIO The Haverstraw Little League is based in the Village of Haverstraw in Rockland County, New York, and is a member of New York District 18 of Little League, Inc. The League was established in 1952 by a group of community minded volunteers. Our league features baseball and softball programs for boys and girls ages 6 to 16 with approximately 800 ballplayers. The objective of the League is to implant firmly in the children, the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens. To achieve this objective, The Haverstraw Little League provides a supervised program under the Rules and Regulations of Little League Baseball, Inc. All directors, officers and members shall bear in mind that attainment of exceptional athletic skill or the winning of games is secondary, and the molding of future citizens is of prime importance. Little League Pledge I trust in God. I love my country and will respect its laws. I will play fair and strive to win. But win or lose I will always do my best. Little League Parent/Volunteer Pledge I will teach all children to play fair and do their best. I will positively support all managers, coaches and players. I will respect the decisions of the umpires. I will praise a good effort despite the outcome of the game. |
